The Zebra-Safe LED signaling for a zebra crossing or bicycle path is becoming increasingly indispensable. Too many accidents occur at crosswalks that do not have this facility, while these traffic measures are precisely intended to make crossing safer and more manageable. However, the crossing itself is often not the problem. The problem is the traffic on the road or on the footpath that creates a large amount of environmental stimuli. Since the beginning of 2005, the founder of Traffic-Care has been developing and optimizing VOP signalling, with the ultimate result Zebra-Safe. The system has been developed to draw the attention of other traffic to where it makes sense: the crosswalk. Zebra-Safe only does this if this attention is needed, i.e. when cyclists and pedestrians actually cross the road. This is done with the help of LED signaling on the zebra crossing and the bicycle path. Detection mechanisms then ensure that the LED lighting is only activated when a cyclist or pedestrian approaches.
